The configuration backend allows an unauthenticated user to write arbitrary data with root privileges to the storage, which could lead to unauthenticated remote code execution and full system compromise.

A specially crafted set of packets can cause a heap buffer overflow, potentially resulting in code execution. An attacker can send unauthenticated packets to trigger this vulnerability.
