A vulnerability in BIG-IP can cause an increase in resource utilization when embedded Packet Velocity Acceleration acceleration is configured. This can lead to a denial-of-service attack. The vulnerability is related to undisclosed local ethernet traffic.
When embedded Packet Velocity Acceleration (ePVA) acceleration is configured, undisclosed local ethernet traffic can cause an increase in ePVA and Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
Attackers on adjacent networks are at medium risk of causing a denial-of-service attack, posing a medium risk to the organization.
